My team was tasked with creating an immersive experience for Google at WordCamp, a premier event for WordPress professionals. The vision was to design a space that was more than a booth—it was a world.
We began with a single, powerful idea: that the most complex and beautiful things are built from the simplest foundations. Using basic shapes—squares, circles, and triangles—we crafted an environment that was both a physical space and a visual narrative. Every wall and illustration was meticulously planned to capture the attention of a passerby and draw them into a story about creation.
This installation was a love letter to the builders of the web. It showcased how Google Site Kit, a WordPress plugin, and our insights into Performance and Search are the foundational tools that empower creators, from small businesses to large enterprises.
My creative approach to this project proves that even in a bustling event space, a strong, simple concept can create an unforgettable experience.
Here are a few of the many locations designed.
ROME
The blue sky thinking was to get a real Mini Cooper. But the client loved it and we made it happen. The space is created from the Italian flag and the car is a nod to the auto economy as part of the history to Rome.
MANILA
The team took "Night Market" to heart and really brought the hustle and bustle of the city and WC to life to celebrate the attendees of Wordcamp APAC.
